Medicare 101

Turning 65 or already on Medicare? This educational workshop clearly explains Medicare parts A, B, C, and D, compares Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage plans, and outlines key enrollment timelines and penalties. Learn how to avoid costly mistakes and make confidant, informed decisions about your coverage.Taught by a licensed Medicare Adviser who knows both the coverage and the medications behind it. 
I will cover the following information from the official Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services handbooks:

• Defining Medicare and its parts
• How and when to enroll in Medicare, as well as what happens if you are already on Medicare and turning 65?
• When you are allowed to change plans (Annual Enrollment & Special Enrollment Periods)
• Medicare Health Plan Coverage Choices (Medicare Supplement & Advantage Plan)
• Prescription Drug Plans
• Do I qualify for extra help with my premiums? How do I apply?
• What if I plan to keep working? What if my spouse isn't on Medicare?

These are just some of the topics I will cover and will give you simple, straight forward answers to your questions. The meeting lasts approximately 1 hour and will include some Q&A as well. FREE to the public. Registration is required.
