Argentine Tango Practica
Join us to dance the most beautiful, elegant, and sensual dance in the world, the Argentine Tango. Tango is drama, passion and romance, a dance of connection with the music and dialogue between partners. The essential reason tango makes us feel beautiful is the feeling we have when connecting with the music and our dance partners. Although Tango at its core can be distilled into an algorithm of movement; true Argentine Tango is not a series of memorized steps, nor a dance that merely promotes mechanical reactions; rather it is a dance of improvisation where both partners listen to the music and, more importantly, listen to each other. Whether or not you have rhythm, or if you feel you have two left feet. The power of this dance, the rawness of the movements and connection with another person, is worth getting out of your comfort zone and doing it. Members of this group have been dancing the Argentine Tango for ten years or more and are happy to share their tango skills. FREE to the public.
