Swim Lessons

Our Preschool Swim and Learn to Swim programs are great for youth aged 4 -11 who need to learn water safety and swimming basics. Each session is 4 classes.

All classes are small groups.

Preschool Swim
Preschool Swim is designed for children approximately 4 and 5 years of age. The purpose of the course is to facilitate developmentally appropriate learning of fundamental water safety and aquatic skills. Preschool Swim consists of three levels. No skill prerequisites are required for Preschool Swim Level 1. For Preschool Swim Levels 2 and 3, children must be able to demonstrate the exit skills assessment of the previous level. All children should be evaluated prior to the start of a session or during the first lesson, regardless of level, to determine the appropriate starting point for each child. On completion of all Preschool levels, children may enroll in Learn to Swim. A child who completes Preschool levels 1 or 2 and is 6 years old may enroll in Learn to Swim Level 1.

Levels 4 & 5
Level 4 seeks to improve participants’ proficiency in performing the swimming strokes that were introduced in Level 3. Participants perform these strokes with increased proficiency and are able to swim them for greater distances. Level 5: Participants refine their performance of all six swimming strokes. Participants perform these strokes with increased proficiency and are able to swim them for greater distances.
