2026 Fall Youth High School Basketball League

2026-2027 High School Basketball League

Registration is August 3 - October 15, 2026

Beginning with 8th grade, recreation basketball transitions to a team-based registration model. Players and their friends are responsible for forming their own teams and registering together. This differs from 7th grade and below, where participants are assigned to teams by the league.

After the team captain completes the online Team Registration (no cost), each player on your team must complete the online Player Registration ($55 per person) in order to participate. Players must list the name of the team they are registering for on their registration. Teams consist of 8-10 players.

If you do not have a team to form or join, please register as a Free-Agent. If a team needs more players, we can pull from this registration list.

Team Captains and Parent Representative meeting date TBD at the Wire Road Gym (2340 Wire Road) at 5:30pm. We will go over rules at this meeting. 

Practices
This league does not hold regular practices as the younger divisions do. Instead, teams simply arrive for their scheduled games.


Games begin the week of December 1st and the season will be done in early to mid-February. Game times are 8pm, 8:45pm, 9:30pm. 


Eligibility Requirements
  1. All players must reside in Auburn and be currently enrolled at Auburn High School or Lee-Scott Academy. Home school is allowed if the player resides in the city of Auburn.
  2. Jr. High, Jr. Varsity or Varsity basketball players are not eligible to participate until their school season is over.
  3. Teams are strongly discouraged to form teams with the majority of its members participating on the same school team, club, or organization.
  4. A player having played in one game with a team may not transfer or play for another team. A player appearing on two rosters is committed to the first team with which he/she competed.
  5. Any team in danger of dropping out of the league because of loss of interest or injury may add players with the league coordinator’s (Jason Burnett) consent.
  6. A Parent representative for each team is required.  If a team shows up without a parent representative, that team will not be allowed to play.  The parent representative must be present for the entire game and seated on the bench with the team.  The game will end immediately if the parent representative leaves before the game ends.

Game Location
All teams will play one or two nights a week at the Wire Road Gym.  Single elimination tournament concluding season.  

Team Jerseys
Team jerseys will be provided.  Team managers can select their team name when submitting their rosters.  Names will be picked from existing NBA or WNBA teams.  Players without the proper jersey will not be allowed to play.  Players may not share jerseys.
