Art Gallery Spring 2026 Exhibition Schedule
The Art Gallery at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC) operates during the following hours:
Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. · Saturday: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. · Sunday: Closed

The Fall Open Invitational Exhibition: Mixed Media
November 12 – December 20, 2025
A variety of wall-works combining multiple forms of art and materials. Area professional, student, and amateur artists and crafts persons 18 years of age and older are invited to submit two original new or recent works for possible inclusion in this exhibition. There is no entry fee. Works may be listed for sale. Please note, not all entries may be accepted.
Micro Gallery Exhibition
December 18 – January 8, 2026
The exhibition will be on view in Gallery II from December 18 through January 8, culminating in a closing “Micro” reception on Thursday, January 8, from 5:30–7 p.m. Guests can enjoy micro-themed refreshments while viewing the exhibition, and most pieces will be available for purchase. Artists (16+) may submit up to two works in either size. All artwork must be family friendly and created on Illustration Board provided by JDCAC. Medium and theme is artist’s choice, but artwork must conform to the designated dimensions and hang vertically. Framing and or wiring is not permitted; works will be hung unframed. Registration opens on October 20, 2025. Pre-cut boards are available at JDCAC. Artwork must be dropped off between December 1 – 10.
2026 Juried Photography Biennial
January 15 – February 26, 2026
A competitive exhibition open to photographers and artists in Alabama and the counties in Georgia adjacent to Lee County.
Spring Invitational Exhibition
March 9 – April 18
A variety of new and recent works by a number of selected regional artists and craftspersons.
21st Auburn CityFest Juried Art Exhibition and Preview Reception
April 23 and 25
An open exhibition highlighting paintings, works on paper, sculpture and crafts by area artists.
The May Show: Watercolors
May 11 – June 18
An open exhibition featuring both transparent and opaque art mediums, techniques and styles.
