Our Counselor in Training (CIT) Program is designed to develop leadership skills, responsibility, and confidence in future camp leaders. This unique, hands-on experience gives participants the opportunity to grow personally while learning what it takes to be a successful camp counselor. This program is open to participants in grades 7th - 9th grade. The cost is $200/week.
We will offer two one-week sessions: June 7–11 & July 12–16
Each session is limited to 8 participants to ensure a meaningful and personalized experience. All applicants will initially be placed on a waitlist and invited to participate in an interview process. Interviews will take place April 28 - 30, and selected participants will be notified of their acceptance by May 5. Throughout the week, CITs will take on an active role in camp by planning, organizing, and leading a camp activity. In addition, participants will complete a Safe Sitter course and enjoy a special opportunity to have lunch with a local city official, offering insight into leadership beyond camp. This program is perfect for individuals who are eager to build leadership skills, gain hands-on experience, and take the first step toward becoming a camp counselor.
