2026 City Youth Tennis SUMMER August
"City Youth Tennis Program" is a pre-competition introduction to tennis program. In these classes your child will learn the basic tennis strokes, tennis rules and etiquette. The class promotes healthy athletic habits, team work and introduction to competition.
When: Classes are offered Monday - Thursdays after school at the listed times and dates. Be sure to look at your MyRec account for times and dates

Equipment Needed: Comfortable Clothes, Athletic Gym Shoes, Hat, Water Bottle
If you are trying out tennis, you don’t need a racket. We have some you can borrow. If your child has participated in a session or two, we suggest getting them their own racket (marked with a name on it).
Suggested racket sizes:
4-5 years old: 21-23 inch (Sponge Ball, Red Ball)
6-8 years old: 23 inch (Red Ball)
9-12 years old: 25 inch (Orange Ball, Green Ball)
12-17 years old: 26-27 inch (Green Ball, Yellow Ball)
Check-In: All participants have to check-in at the front desk before going to court. Please come on the day you picked at registration so we can have the right instructor/child ratio. Always check in.
Class Participation: Our kids classes are priced well and we don’t offer credits/make-ups unless we experience a large number of rain out days. Missed classes cannot be made up on a different day without instructor approval.
Weather: Indoor courts which are to the left of the Main Clay Court Building. If it’s raining and we have courts indoors, we just go indoors. If we do NOT have indoor courts available, you will receive a text message to the number on the account. BE SURE TO SIGN UP FOR MOBILE NOTIFICATIONS!
