Make a Difference in Youth and Community Sports!

The Auburn Baseball Softball Association (ABSA) is currently seeking dedicated, community-minded individuals to serve on their board. This is an excellent opportunity to support and strengthen recreational programs, and help shape the future of sports within our community.

Board members work collaboratively with Parks & Recreation staff, coaches, volunteers, parents, and community partners to provide quality athletic opportunities for participants of all ages. Members assist with league planning, program development, fund raising, volunteer coordination, policy review, and special events.

Who Should Apply?
We encourage applications from individuals who:

Have an interest in youth and community sports
Are passionate about recreation and community engagement
Possess leadership, organizational, or volunteer experience
Are able to attend regular board meetings and support league activities
Bring diverse perspectives and a commitment to creating positive experiences for participants and families

Previous board experience is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities May Include:
Attending monthly board meetings
Assisting with league operations and strategic planning
Supporting recruitment and retention of volunteers, coaches, and participants
Promoting sportsmanship, inclusion, and community involvement
Participating in league events, tournaments, and fund raising efforts
