Mahjongg is here! Meet Me at the Table.Join us for relaxed, welcoming Open Play designed for two, three, or four players per table. This session is for those already familiar with Mahjongg and National Mahjongg League (NMJL) rules. (If you’re ready to learn, see below!) Come to as many Open Play sessions in this series as you’d like — the more you play, the more confident and comfortable you’ll become. All play follows official National Mahjongg League rules. This is not an instructional class, but Jennie will be present to answer any NMJL rule questions as they arise. Players are free to play at their own pace in a friendly, supportive setting. Jennie has played Mahjongg for over 20 years and honors the traditions that make the game timeless while embracing its exciting resurgence. Open Play is a wonderful way to reinforce what you’ve learned, sharpen your strategy, and build community around the table. Each session runs for 6 weeks. Two sessions are available — sign up for one or both! A minimum of 8 participants is required to hold each Open Play session. Mahjongg tiles, racks, and dice will be provided. Players must bring their own Official 2026 NMJL card.New to Mahjongg? Join one of Jennie’s Combo Beginner Classes and you’ll be ready for Open Play in no time. The Family Literacy is designed to help children and their parents succeed in school. Every month we meet with the children to provide them with engaging educational activities and help them with their schoolwork. Each month will focus on a different topic and provide different activities for the children. Parents will get dedicated time talk with education professionals and recieve help with their family's specific needs. Parents will also be provided with a packet of materials and local resources to help support them at home. Anyone who attends will recieve a meal provided by LCLC.
