Painting Open Studio - Oil Painting Open Studio - Fall 2025 - AAA Painting Open Studio, under the support of the Auburn Arts Association and instructed by Nils Larson, will encourage artists to provide artistic fellowship, to share ideas/work and to be with other artists. Members of the studio group meet weekly to work on their own respective paintings. The open studio format means members are free to come and go according to their individual time needs. The instructor will give critical feedback and assist with process whenever requested. The instructional focus is primarily geared towards representational painting with oil and development of observational painting skills. Students will provide their own materials. $90.Oil Painting Open Studio will provide a weekly meet-up to share ideas, work, technique and process. Members work on their own respective paintings. Origami, Collage and Paper Quilling - Origami - Fall 2025 - Dong Shang DOrigami, the ancient Japanese art of folding paper, is a fascinating and creative craft for kids. Through folding, origami uses numerous folds with fine attention to the detail. The value of Origami is not how fast or how many models can be completed, but rather practice patience and precision. Through practice, students will gain a better understanding of patterns, spatial relations and 3-D design elements. Paper Quilling is the art of rolling narrow strips of paper into coils or scrolls and arranging them to form elegant art.
