Instruction will emphasize fundamental tap steps and their names, incorporating warm-ups, across the floor exercises, and combination work. Multiple levels of combinations will be provided to accommodate skill level. Class will culminate in a small performance for friends and family. The Joy of Dance - The Joy of Dance - Summer 2025 - Jenn Travis Discover the freedom of movement in this uplifting and energizing dance class designed for adults of all backgrounds and abilities. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or stepping into the studio for the first time, this class is a welcoming space to stretch, strengthen, and explore movement in a supportive and judgement-free environment. Each session begins with a gentle yet effective warm-up to awaken the body, improve alignment, and build strength. From there, we'll dive into expressive movement exercises that encourage creativity and joy, culminating an exhilarating across-the-floor exploration of leaps, turns, and dynamic movement. No experience? No problem! This class is designed for everyone - mature teens, adults, and seniors-regardless of fitness level, experience, or body type. Modifications and personalized guidance ensure that each dancer moves in a way that feels good for them. Leave each class feeling energized, inspired, and more connected to your body. What to wear: Comfortable, fitted clothing that allows for movement and shows alignment (solid-color attire preferred). Bare feet or thin socks recommended. Come dance, move, and express yourself in a class that celebrates YOU! Class meets every other Tuesday June 3rd-July 22nd. No class: June 10th, June 23rd, July 1st and July 15th.
