Are you interested in joining Independent Studio for Adults? Taking this course is required before joining. In this course we will guide you through the studio policies, procedures, idea building, troubleshooting, and kiln/glaze knowledge needed to explore our state-of-the-art studio on your own. $70/participant + $30 materials fee.Prerequisite: Completion of two studio classes. 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM    Holiday-themed Hand Built Centerpieces - Holiday themed Centerpieces - Summer 2025 - Jenny Mulligan
Join Jenny Mulligan as we make 3-4 flat centerpieces, with cut-outs, which are then covered by a glass plate that can also be used as a serving tray. Each piece will reflect a favorite holiday, like hearts, Shamrocks, balloons, or beachwear. Bring some design ideas with you as we will be working on our first project right away. Contact me if you need some ideas. Each student will receive a glass plate to display their finished projects. Join Jenny Mulligan for a class that will focus on throwing, shaping, altering and perfecting the bowl form!Novice class on how to throw the perfect bowl: Learn and improve your skills specific to bowl- making, including centering, thinning the walls, shaping, altering, surface decoration and glazing techniques. Designed to help the novice student advance their skills. Prerequisite Intro to pottery. Cost $80 for 4 weeks. Supplies $40 which includes clay and a metal rib. Prerequisite: Intro to PotteryAdvanced class on bowl-making: Emphasis will be on a review of throwing techniques and then using our skills to make bigger and better bowls. We will learn to stack collars and bowls to create additional height. Class will include instruction on altering, surface decoration and glazing designed to enhance the large bowls. Prerequisite: Novice "How to Make the Perfect Bowl". Tuition: $80/4 weeks. Supplies $40 which includes clay and a large wooden rib.
